hell week? turn out glorious
This week, past through pretty fast at a pace that was unexpected in the 1st place but excitingly amazing which really matter to me personally.
Helped out with CHCSA on a 2 day, Day Camp @ Mayflower Secondary. Helping Sec 2NT students on 3, Yes 3 important note to this whole camp's purpose- RTC=Respect, Teamwork & Communication.
Seriously, I always say yes to ALMOST everything when comes to serving(of cos when time wasnt really a issue of blood to me). It makes me wonder.....
Anyway, the 1st day 27thMay09, was the 1st day w one out of 2 NT classes.
hahah....I can say, I'm looking forward and sometimes backwards....in other words, interested in what I'm in for and really really don't know what to expect.
I can say that the turn out for the 1st day, which we allll agree was quite messy...(looking @ how the stuff (esp. darryl, val, eden, alvin and victoria etc.) planned for the event was a...[sry, indescribable]) but looking at how the stuff from CHCSA, their efficiency and passion to wanna engage the students and to help them, they persevered on through fire and water, clocks and computers, printers and papers.... and wanted to make day 2 a victorious one.
Well.........
It turn out......BAM! tick tick tick tick dynamite(ok its a cheer HAHA) GREAT! AMAZING! AWESOME!.... EVERYONE WAS.. I FEEEL tired BUT FULL OF SATISFACTION that we believe have impacted the students individually. To be honest, it wasnt easy, now I know how is it like as a teacher-in-charge of a NT class.(fyi I was from NT, grad for 4yrs!...those were the days)(you wont know until you taste and see)...I really got drained out by some hyper-active dudes who just cant stop being hyper active for at LEAST a min or soo, of cos when they're not sleeping. Sry I got to be specific as, when i told one of the students which was hyper, he says that the only time he can stop was when he's aslp.....-.-! OH MAN, believe me they can make your face worst then that....well, it's not easy brothers and sisters, but loook at the Big picture, as a volunteers, we tend to forget, we're here to help, encourage those who are brought down. As I see the stuff of CHCSA, Wow....they really Love the kids no matter what, skin colour, language, background, attitude they're, they still Love and are Willing to be interested in every individual.
These kids don't look interested, but when you're to them, you'll make them believe that there's someone who really cares. These kids have potential.
All in all, I dont have to say that it's just a good expierence, But it's really an eye opener, Expierence of a life time, really....from looking at them reminds me of those Who believed in me and knowing that not just for NT students but for the rest of those WHO DOESNT even believe in themselves, There's someone who Believes in YOU. And what kept me going was this person who made me believe in who I am....in HIM.
